The most masterful media manipulation by the Bush Administration has been that surrounding the CBS Papers--everything since then has been more of the tactics they worked so well. Every media manipulation on their part since: The Downing Street Memos, the Plame affair, and more-- has the successful elements of this story--the "Talking Points," the coordinated internet and conservative media attacks, the misleads and confusion sowed, the Stonewalling and the "Non-denials." This is the observable "aboveground" way they handle the media, the below ground way is subject to speculation
The Bush Administration managed to get doubts cast and the story discredited without ever proving a thing. They never even tried--and the whole country bought their side of the story without any proof at all
That's right, the Bush Administration got the story turned around and set back on CBS, got the story completely shut down, the mainstream media discredited and conservative bloggers elevated to the role of "factscheckers to the MSM" WITHOUT EVER PROVING A THING!!
How did they DO that?? How did they get the dialogue completely shut down in the media when CBS was holding more smoking guns than John Wayne ever did?

The USAF must investigate the CBS Papers!! They are FEDERAL documents!!
This is the 2d formal complaint I have sent to the USAF and DoD Inspector Generals and the USAF Office of Special Investigations. So far, they have ignored my first Here's the 2d one, a more specific demand
Demand a full federal investigation of these papers!! They are federal documents and so far the federal government has relied on conservative bloggers to disprove them!!
The CBS papers are real and illuminate crimes committed by Bush's superiors (and Bush!) Thats why theyre not being investigated!!

Would you believe that the US Air Force is refusing to investigate allegedly forged US Air Force documents? Would you believe that the federal government is refusing to investigate possibly forged federal documents? BETTER BELIEVE IT!
